Among the dating app market, 2 of the most serious contenders for finding meaningful results are Bumble and Hinge.

That being said between the both of them which platform is ultimately the better fit and one for you to use.

Making the case for Hinge

Pros

- Free perk such as the rose (the equivalent of a bumble super swipe) given each week

- You can send a message to a user even before matching

- The ability to reply directly to a prompt a user puts on their profile

- For newer users, it shows their active status the day you are swiping

- (Depending on who you ask) Voice messages/profile

- Easy to change location (if you are looking to harness your inner Pitbull aka Mr.Worldwide)

Cons

- It's easy to change location

Some users that initially appear in your location can change to halfway across the world once you've matched or even during the conversation

- With such a various # of prompts it can be tedious to create a completely unique profile

- Some common bugs (i.e likes not going through the first time)

- Can come across some bot or catfish accounts

The case for Bumble

Pros

- You can filter by specific things you are looking for in a person (Their intention: relationship, something casual)

- Users can verify their profile picture (can assist in catfish detection)

- When matching bumble has suggested questions and facetime games

- Women having to send the 1st message shows their interest to know you since they are overwhelmed with messages

Cons

- Female users have from 24 to 48 hours to send 1st message or the match expires

- Men can't initiate the conversation

- No way to tell when users are online, some profiles that you are shown seem as if they have not been active for a while

The Verdict

Hinge overall is the better dating app.

One of the biggest advantages the "app meant to be deleted" has is the ability to directly answer a prompt and send a message before matching a user.

Sending a creative message will put you ahead of the pack easier in someone's inbox especially when ladies get plenty of likes over just having to go from the looks of a profile.

It offers more of a chance to show your personality and users are overall more active on there compared to Bumble.

In the case where you are confident in waiting for someone to show their interest and send you the message 1st Bumble would be the better option.

Having used both apps there are both worth the go, personally, I have had better results on Hinge but Bumble is no slouch either.

Give both a try and see which one comes out best for you.
